PROGRAM DESCRIPTIONS
 kids kung fu
Our kids Kung Fu program is the same as our adult program, however the focus is a little different.  With the children we focus on bully prevention (self defense), point sparring, forms and traditional weapons forms.  This class will help your child learn life skills such as focus, discipline, respect and teamwork along with physical fitness exercises that they can use for the rest of their lives. You will see your child’s confidence and attitude improve at home and at school.  Of course we also have  FUN and will occasionally end classes with obstacle courses or dodgeball which keep the kids excited about class and help with fitness and coordination.  There is also the opportunity to participate in competitions where the kids get to show what they know about forms, point fighting, weapons forms & creative forms.  

kids jiujitsu
This class is for children looking to learn the basics of JiuJitsu and Wrestling. Your child will learn how to control a potentially violent situation without resorting to hitting.  They will learn to takedown and control their opponent using proper body mechanics.  We also teach them how to escape from holds and pins so that they can free themselves from danger.  This is an excellent way for young wrestlers to continue to build their skills in grappling while at the same time setting the foundation for them to join our adult JiuJitsu class when they are size and age appropriate.


adult programs
basic striking/ kickboxing 
A great way to get your cardio training and hone combat skills. Class begins with a good warm up consisting of body weight exercises and sport specific drills. Then it’s on to kickboxing, where we focus on technique, timing, strategy, speed and power.  We will start you with the basics of traditional martial arts, boxing and kickboxing and work through to the more advanced combinations and drills as you progress.  In this class you’ll learn to use punches, kicks, knees and elbows.  We work heavily with focus mitts and bags to ensure a great workout with the cleanest technique.

self defense
Adults will learn a PROVEN METHOD OF SELF DEFENSE.  We incorporate Kung Fu, Karate, Boxing, Judo , JiuJitsu & Kali into one program.  You’ll learn the what and why of every technique we show.  We teach you how to deal with common attacker situations such as sucker punches, grabs, chokes, club, knife and gun defense.  This class is part of our Black Belt program or as a certification program.

combat kung fu
No fancy pants Kung Fu here.  Only effective techniques make the cut.  We’ll be working on closed fist as well as open hand strikes, advanced kicking, animal styles, traditional weapons and forms.  Emphasis will be placed on technical excellence, strong stances, speed and angles.  

adult jiujitsu
Useful for self defense or sport, our JiuJitsu program focuses on the techniques of JiuJitsu while also incorporating basics of wrestling, Judo and mixed martial arts.    You’ll learn takedowns, sweeps, guard passes and SUBMISSIONS as well as how to use striking to set up your techniques. You’ll learn to defend against strikes, takedowns, holds, pins and submissions.  Each class starts with a good warm up followed by technique drills and then free grappling to ensure you get a great workout.  We are primarily a no gi system but we occasionally wear the gi. 

combat sports
 Our Combat Sports class covers MMA, Muay Thai and San Shao. There is a heavy focus on smooth transitions between striking, takedowns and submissions. In these classes we will cover distance and timing as well as clinch work, dirty boxing and takedowns off punches and kicks. You will learn to use your striking while searching for submissions, positional escapes and advances while on the ground. This is also the times we will be working sparring the most.
